Full Mission Statement
Established in 1988, the role of Business to Arts is to broker, enable and support creative partnerships between business and the arts. In addition to our work in this area we manage the largest programme of business-skills training for artists and arts organisations in Ireland.

Funded throughout our history by a network of over 100 Irish businesses, we also have over 200 arts affiliates, ranging from individual artists through to national cultural institutions throughout Ireland. Through our extensive reach we strive to play a critical role in the development of ‘next-generation’ private investment models in a sector that has historically relied on public subsidy.

We work to plug the gaps in terms of data needed to promote the impact of the arts on the Irish economy, and the levels of investment coming from the private sector. We also seek to profile excellent models of relationships between business and the arts, through promotion of case studies, and through our annual awards programme.

We firmly believe that creating the structures to support and fund the Irish arts community is essential to both our national development and international profile.

Business to Arts is committed to developing networks in the UK and US with a view to building support for touring Irish arts and cultural activities, as we believe cultural exports should be considered more inclusively in the marketing of Ireland inc overseas.
