BHP Insurances focuses on providing insurance solutions for the Not For Profit (NFP) Sector including Charities, Volunteer Organisations, and the Social Housing Sector. BHP Insurances’ CSR strategy involves supporting initiatives of many organisations in these sectors. Education is a major part of the NFP sector and many NFP organisations incorporate music education and performances into their programmes.

In 2019 – 2020, BHP Insurances’ will work with Business to Arts and the Creative Ireland Programme’s National Creativity Fund to create an artist-in-residence (pianist) programme. A combination of performance-based and education-based activities and workshops will be offered to BHP Insurances’ NFP clients, which will aim to educate and develop appreciation of music among participants that are supported by, BHP Insurances’ NFP clients.

It is anticipated the AR Programme will start in Autumn 2019, with a concluding showcase to be scheduled for Spring/Summer 2020.

The process of selecting a pianist is twofold:

1) Open Call application (June/July 2019).

2) Interview with shortlisted Pianists, with interview panel comprising representatives of BHP Insurances, Business to Arts, and others as appropriate (July 2019 – date to be confirmed).

To submit your application, please complete the application form (below), and return with a supporting PDF of less than 5 pages in length and no larger than 10MB, to info@businesstoarts.ie by 5pm, Friday 12th July 2019.

Shortlisted Pianists will be contacted in summer 2019, with a view to a shortlist interview. The selected Pianist will be announced in August 2019.
