For the eighth year running Allianz Ireland will invest €5,000 in a community-based arts initiative supported by their Staff, through the Allianz Community Art Award.  The Award will be presented as part of the Allianz Business to Arts Awards on Tuesday 3rd September 2019. This prize broadens Allianz’s support of the cultural community beyond the Allianz Business to Arts Awards themselves, to supporting community-based arts initiatives that Allianz staff members are passionate about.

You are invited to nominate a project or organisation with a cultural emphasis – whether local to home, something you or a family member or friend are involved with or enjoy participating in, or perhaps a project which a client is passionate about.

Entry criteria for the Allianz Community Art Award:

Groups/organisations do not need to be registered charities, but must be not for profit. Applicant organisations can be both arts and non-arts organisations, but there must be a specific link to an arts-based activity. For example, community groups, who:

  • Share particular cultural interests, such as singing, writing, playing music or amateur dramatics
  • Live or work in a specific area, such as a town or locality that organise arts based activities. This could also be through a school, hospital, church etc.
  • Provide opportunities for disadvantaged people to participate in arts and cultural activities building community identity and pride

Entries must be able to demonstrate the impact of their arts project on their community. They should be able to demonstrate how funding from Allianz will make a measurable difference to the project scale/scope. Projects should be based in the Republic, but can be all-Ireland in their scope.

Entries must include the ‘nomination’ of an Allianz staff member which we will confirm via email. If you do not have a nomination the Allianz Business to Arts Awards team will match your entry with an Allianz staff member.

The Allianz Corporate Citizenship Committee will convene a meeting moderated by Business to Arts with the task of selecting a winner for the Award.
