Entry Procedure
Please note that nominations for the 2010 Awards closed on Wednesday 24 March.
When nominating a project or individual for an award in the future, the business and the arts organisation/artist should jointly submit
• Eight copies of the Nomination Form
• Eight copies of a Nomination Presentation
Eight copies of additional supporting material may be submitted but should be kept to a minimum. CD’s, audio / video tapes or DVD’s may be submitted but there is no guarantee that the judges will be able to take these into account. Please bear in mind that these, and other supporting materials, will not be returned.
The Nomination Presentations are the key tool to getting the project across to the Jury Panel. It is, in effect, your story. Presentations must not exceed three A4 Sheets and should address the following points:
• What were the business objectives e.g. marketing, PR, communications, staff relations, image?
• How did the project succeed in meeting those objectives?
• What was the total value of the project/sponsorship in cash and/or in kind? (This information will be treated in strict confidence)
• In what way was the business involvement important to the artist / arts organisation or event?
• How did a working partnership develop between the business and the artist / arts organisation?
• Nominations for Best Ongoing Sponsorship should say how long the relationship has lasted, and how it has developed.
• Nominations for the Jim McNaughton / TileStyle Bursary for Commissioned Artists should outline the career to date of the commissioned artist, their aims for the future development of their work, and an indication of how the bursary might be used.
• All entries will be automatically entered into the DAA Arts Award and Judges’ Special Recognition Award.
