Accenture with arcana & Boz Temple Morris
The Business Challenge
The Accenture Ireland Community Communications Day is an annual event which provides an opportunity for Accenture people to meet, spend time with each other and hear organisational news. The programme of the day had traditionally been corporate in tone but Accenture sought to develop an event where artists would stimulate the creative intelligence of their people.
The Solution
A creative collaboration with Galway based arts organisation arcana and London based artist Boz Temple-Morris produced work that did not act as entertainment between corporate messages during the Communications Day, but rather a creative framework for the whole event. The event comprised a series of installations, events, performances and games that were all themed around identity and which were developed with the involvement of Accenture people. The event was celebratory in tone but also explored issues of personal and organisational importance in innovative and surprising ways.
Benefits to Company
Accenture’s redeveloped Communications Day is an innovative and new model of how art and entertainment can be used to explore corporate challenges as varied as those of organisational identity, company and employee pride as well as enhancing external and internal communications. Expectations and engagement with the annual event have risen accordingly as it has become a day characterised by creative intelligence.
Benefits to Stakeholders
The Community Communications Day was followed up with award winning documentation which included a newspaper and company photo. The colour newspaper featured a compilation of memories from the event which was distributed to all Accenture Ireland employees. Arcana and Boz temple Morris have continued there collaborations and now offer bespoke event management services to corporate clients.
