The Development Managers’ Forum
In advance of the launch of New Stream, Business to Arts has brought together those individuals within the arts sector who are either engaged in fundraising full-time, or whose role involves a substantial responsibility for generating new income.
This group includes representatives from the majority of national cultural institutions together with some of
Ireland’s best known festivals, performance companies and galleries.
The disparate nature of the cultural sector often presents a challenge in creating collaborative networks, but we
believe that this diversity can work in favour of efforts to bring new income streams into the arts.
New Stream will invest in the Development Managers’ Forum, convening the group regularly to consider key topics in their area and inviting guest speakers with specialist knowledge where appropriate. We aim to provide an environment where individuals can share their ideas and information and learn from each other.
In the spirit of collaboration, members of the Development Managers’ Forum will from time to time act as advisors to organisations that do not have resources focused on generating funds, and will provide suggestions and guidance as appropriate. These relationships will be brokered by Business to Arts.
