For Impact Fundraising Training - Reaches 49 Irish Arts & Cultural Organisations in 2010... So far!

Business to Arts has long been the largest facilitator of business training for the Irish cultural sector, and within New Stream we will focus our efforts on developing fundraising skills for individuals and their organisations.

Following their successful visit to deliver training in Ireland in 2008 and January 2010, we partnered with For Impact to deliver two bespoke fundraising training sessions in early 2010.

49 arts and cultural organisations received subsidised fundraising training from Business to Arts and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the first six months of 2010.

For Impact fundraising training is relevant for all sizes of cultural organisations in developing a structure around their fundraising and being clear on how best to communicate their impact.

The framework for this training is based around the ‘For Impact’ entrepreneurial mantra ‘Think Big, Build Simple, Act Now’ and targets board members and senior executives of participating organisations to ensure the fundraising programme has buy-in.

Our three favourite quotes from For Impact are:

1. "Your IMPACT drives your INCOME - it's as simple as that! Articulate, communicate and share your impact and your income will follow."
2. "You're in SALES. Get over it!"
3. "JUST ASK."

We recommend that you take a look at their website for regular fundraising 'nuggets' and details of their regular teleseminars. For Impact
