BHP Insurances focuses on providing insurance solutions for the Not For Profit (NFP) Sector including Charities, Volunteer Organisations, and the Social Housing Sector. BHP Insurances’ CSR strategy involves supporting initiatives of many organisations in these sectors. Education is a major part of the NFP sector and many NFP organisations incorporate music education and performances into their programmes.

In 2019 – 2020, BHP Insurances’ will work with Business to Arts and the Creative Ireland Programme’s National Creativity Fund to create an artist-in-residence (pianist) programme. A combination of performance-based and education-based activities and workshops will be offered to BHP Insurances’ NFP clients, which will aim to educate and develop appreciation of music among participants that are supported by, BHP Insurances’ NFP clients.

It is anticipated the AR Programme will start in Autumn 2019, with a concluding showcase to be scheduled for Spring/Summer 2020.

An Open Call application process (June/July 2019) was held to select the pianist.

The selected pianist will be announced in October 2019.
