We facilitate transformative artist bursaries enabling professional or practice development at pivotal moments in an artist’s career.

Each year we run a bursary programme through our annual Business to Arts Awards that provides a total of €25,000 to artists and arts organisations.

Our longest-running bursary for over 20 years is the annual daa €5,000 Arts Award, awarded to an arts organisation that has shown excellence when engaging with a corporate partner.

Since 2008, the Jim McNaughton/TileStyle €10,000 Artist’s Bursary has supported musicians, playwrights, theatre makers, poets, and visual artists amongst others, to develop their practice or bring a creative project to fruition.

The Accenture €10,000 Digital Innovation in Art Bursary was launched in 2022, with the aim of supporting an emerging artist whose work is created digitally to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity. The 2022 winner was artist Nadia J. Armstrong. Read about Nadia's experience here.

Both the Jim McNaughton/TileStyle €10,000 Artist’s Bursary and the Accenture €10,000 Digital Innovation in Art Bursary, can be applied to directly during the application period for the annual Business to Arts Awards. The daa €5,000 Arts Award is awarded to an arts organisation that has applied to one of the main categories in the Business to Arts Award, it cannot be applied for directly.

Applications for the 2024 Awards will open in March 2024, if you would like to be considered for any of the above bursaries in 2024 please make sure to apply during the application period. For reminders about bursary applications please subscribe to our arts newsletter.

The winners of this year’s bursaries will be announced on September 12th at the 2023 Business to Arts Awards.
