Announcing our 2025 Business to Arts Awards Shortlist and Awards Sculpture!

Shortlisted partnerships spotlight inclusion, community engagement, and sustainability

Pictured at University College Cork (UCC) are Vera Klute, Vanessa Jones, Gerry Davis, and Julianne Guinee. These artists have been selected for Accenture’s Women on Walls at UCC, which will recognise the achievements of outstanding women in a series of commissioned portraits. The announcement follows an open call to artists, led by Business to Arts, to create the new paintings honouring 11 women who are connected to Munster and have contributed to the betterment of society.

Four artists announced for prestigious Accenture’s Women on Walls Commission at University College Cork

Vera Klute, Vanessa Jones, Gerry Davis and Julianne Guinee have been awarded the commission.

Pictured at University College Cork (UCC) are (l-r): Joanne O’Riordan, sports journalist, disability activist, motivational speaker and student of law; Caitríona Twomey, volunteer co-ordinator of Cork Penny Dinners, a charity that offers food and support to anyone in need; Dola Twomey, therapist/activist at the Sexual Violence Centre Cork; Mary Crilly, feminist activist and founding member and CEO of the Sexual Violence Centre Cork; Dr. Myra Cullinane, medical doctor, barrister, and Senior Dublin District coroner who held the Stardust inquests; Sr Sharon Fagan, Congregational Leader, Presentation Sisters; Dr. Naomi Masheti, psychologist, three-time UCC graduate and Programme Director of the Cork Migrant Centre.

Open call to visual artists for Accenture's Women on Walls at UCC is now live!

Artists are invited to respond to an open call to win a commission to complete either an individual or a group portrait of trailblazing women connected to the Munster region who have contributed to the betterment of society.

The open call will run from Tuesday, 26th November until 5pm on Thursday, 16th January 2025.

Nominate outstanding women for Accenture's Women on Walls at University College Cork

Accenture’s Women on Walls at UCC will recognise the pioneering achievements of outstanding women and enhance the visibility of women leaders from, or with links to, the Munster region.

Members of the public are invited to submit their suggestions on the female subjects of the artworks. When completed, the new artworks will join the UCC Art Collection and be permanently exhibited on the UCC campus.
